Sarah Pritchard, Jewellery Designer

Welcome

I’m a London (England, UK) based Jewellery Designer & Maker. Graduated from Middlesex University with a BA Hons Jewellery in 2010.

My aim is to hand craft jewellery which demands to be played with and worn, rather than stored in a jewellery box never being enjoyed. I try to design unique contemporary jewellery that resists boredom without rejecting the traditional ideas about jewellery. I endeavour to make every piece wearable though the materials and the form they take. I have a love of colour and movement, which comes across in my jewellery. I research a wide range of sources for inspiration but am drawn in particular to kinetic art. I find the idea of something which you as the viewer/wearer can interact with very appealing. It is not just a static piece to look at but something that constantly changes and adapts to slightest touch.

Spin Ring Jewellery from my Motion Collection, each piece contains multiple ball bearings that move within it.

I enjoy hand making every jewellery piece to the highest finish. I have a wide range of pieces for both men and women, which is regularly expanded. I am constantly developing new work, however do not hesitate to contact me if you have a piece of jewellery in mind, but do not see. I always welcome commissions for totally unique work.

If you are interested in seeing the latest jewellery ideas in development please check out the Work in Progress page. This contains new projects and experimentation. Please note: it is not finished work but notes and images of jewellery I hope to add to my collections. Feel free to email me comments about anything you see, particularly if you like the pieces and want to see them in production. Any copper that you see would be in sterling silver when the piece makes it to the Jewellery Gallery.

Enjoy!
